Department No.31 of the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute “Attestation, Certification and Technical Expertise in Welding Production”Department No.31 of the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute of the NAS of Ukraine carries out works on testing, technical expertise of welded structures, products, materials, technologies, development of quality management systems of welding production, and also studies the problems of quality assurance, technical expertise and certification in welding manufacturing. Bondarenko Yuriy Kupriyanovich is the Chief of Dept. No.31, Cand.of Techn.Sci., senior staff scientist (1991). Author of 120 articles and 23 author’s certificates and patents. He was awarded different awards, in particular thanks and diploma of Kiev city head “For outstanding services”, Derzhstat of Ukraine (2004); laureate of State Prize in the field of science and technology (2002); breastplate and certificate of International Institute of Welding (2006); diploma “For personal contribution to liquidation of consequences of accident at ChNPS” of Ministry of ES (2006) and other diplomas of social organizations. Bondarenko Yu.K. is one of organizers of the National Committee of Ukraine on NDT and Technical Diagnostics; over 14 years he is a member of UD NDTTD, a member of Society of Welders of Ukraine, TC on accreditation in Ukraine, TC – 44, TC -78 and delegate of International Institute of Welding (IIW). Auditor of Quality Management System of “TUVAk.Rheinland”, he has passed training in programs “AMOS”, “TUVAk.Rheinland”, UkrSEPRO. Department staff are the technical experts in the field of safety in welding production, auditors on quality management system “TUVAk.Rheinland”, auditors on confirmation of conformity of products and services in the field of welding production in the national system (UkrSEPRO). The Department participated in the development and harmonization of international standards and other standard documents in the field of control and quality assurance in welding production. They have passed training on programs of systems “AMOS”, UkrSEPRO, and are the members of Society of Welders of Ukraine, Technical Committee (TC-44). Department No.31 is fulfilling also research works, attestation and technical expertise of welding and related processes, namely: welding equipment; welding and structural materials; welded, seamless, metal, plastic pipes and fittings for them; steel, seamless, welded cylinders; road-transport vehicles and harmonizing international standards. The activity scope of Dept.No.31 includes investigations and expertise:
Investigations for the aim of expertise are performed in test laboratories of the E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute of the NAS of Ukraine and others, accredited for technical competence. Department No. 31 “Attestation, Certification and Technical Expertise in Welding Production” has wide relations and realizes its activity both within the scopes of CIS countries and also at the international level.
